Application

Widely used in both cladding and decking scenarios.

Description

UK/ homegrown larch timber cladding.

Features and benefits:

  • Indigenous species which grow in various parts of Britain giving an improved carbon footprint to local projects and developments.
  • Compared to Siberian Larch, British-grown Larch is typically warmer in appearance having a rich heartwood colour, it has a greater number of knots and perhaps more grain character.
  • Moderately durable locally grown timbers, significantly higher knot content than their imported counterparts due to growth rates in warmer climate, with a lower carbon footprint.
  • Knots are brown and can be scattered and frequent, and they may loosen and weep resin for 12–18 months.
  • Faster grown than imported species, large and frequent knots along the length.
  • It will colour down to a silver/ grey if it is not protected as soon as installation is complete with a good quality semi or fully translucent UV-radiation protective coating.
  • It is a very strong and hard-wearing wood.
  • FSC Certified, sustainably sourced Timber.
  • Grown within the United Kingdom.
  • All timber is sourced and machined to CE Quality Grading Requirements.
  • NORclad Brunnea and NORclad Lite offers a 30-year warranty against rot and fungal decay.
