Description

PEFC™ certified Thermowood (Redwood softwood) cladding. Carefully selected from leading Finnish sawmills.

Features and benefits:

  • Available in a wide range of configurations.
  • Stable and durable.
  • Has a natural dark-brown appearance which provides an aesthetically pleasing, consistent aesthetic.
  • Tight, sound knots.
  • Heat treated in a unique gradual modification process, reaching temperatures of 212°C. This alters the chemical and physical properties within the wood, and causes a resistance to fungi.
  • Unlikely to warp or twist due to the inability to absorb or lose moisture (caused from the thermal modification process).
  • Low moisture content, which helps the wood to achieve a smooth finish when machined.
  • Service life of over 30 years.
  • PEFC™ certified.
  • Durability class 2 according to BS EN 350-2.

Applications:

Suitable for use on a range of external building projects.

Please note that the product will weather to a silver-grey if left untreated.
