Application

Used for the stabilization of masonry cavity walls by strongly adhering the inner and outer leaves together and as such is a convenient and cost effective alternative to metal cavity tie replacement. In addition, as a consequence of the excellent thermal insulation properties of the foam, U-values of 0.33 W/m²K are achieved in a 65 mm cavity of standard construction, and 0.22 W/m²K in a 100 mm cavity of standard construction.

Description

Technitherm is a polyurethane foam used for thermal insulation and stabilization. It can be used in new buildings and retrofit properties as insulation and stabilization for cavity walls. The product is injected into masonry cavities leaving a seamless rigid foam layer filling the cavity width. The product adheres to both inner and outer leaves stabilizing the structure in the case of wall tie failure. The product is a totally CFC and HCFC free two component, 1:1 mix ratio rigid polyurethane foam which complies with the requirements of BS 7457.
