  • Sealing of rough and smooth construction joints of in-situ cast concrete.
  • Sealing joints between pre-cast segments (manholes, box culverts, cable ducts and pipes).
  • Sealing around steel H beams.
  • Sealing between rough surfaces (e.g. slurry walls) and concrete slabs.
  • Sealing to underside to capping beams.
  • Bonding strip sealants to rough surfaces.
  • Sealing around bolt spacers and void formers.
  • On secant pile walls.

To avoid premature swelling of the strip, do not apply during heavy rainfall. The mastic should be allowed to cure 24 hours before pouring concrete.

Consumption will depend upon the quality of the surface of concrete.

Description

One-component, polyurethane-based, hydro-swelling mastic for the sealing of construction joints.

Features and benefits:

  • Solvent-free.
  • Good filling and adhesion properties ensure the filling of cracks and voids on all surface types (rough, smooth, moist or dry).
  • Will expand to 350% of its original volume when in contact with water.
  • Flexible, and will adapt to the irregular surface of the substrate.
  • Easy to apply with a standard caulking gun.
  • Durable, and will last as long as the construction.
  • Good chemical resistance and can resist petroleum, mineral and vegetable oils and greases.
  • Can be used with potable water.
  • Fully cured in 24–36 hours (dependent on temperature and humidity conditions).
  • WRAS-approved.
