A rigid Impact Noise and Thermal Insulation panel designed to be tiled on.
It provides Impact Sound and Thermal insulation to wooden and concrete floors allowing them to be tiled without causing noise pollution in the room below.
It is a foam-cored, cement covered waterproof tile backer boards for floors providing decoupling and thermal insulation. This version is made specifically for floors above other living spaces such as in apartments and hotels to enable the floors to be tiled because it has an additional rubber layer which stops impact sound (footfall noise) on a tiled floor being heard in the room or flat underneath.
Features and benefits:
The SoundBoard will remove the solid link between where the impact sound happens (floor/ ceiling) with a layer of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) foam. The side with the sound attenuating layer will then effectively isolate the tiles and the tile backer board from the floor, so the impact sound vibrations cannot be transmitted into the room below.
