Description

GTEC Standard Board with an additional laminated vapour control layer. The GTEC vapour board has the same physical property as the standard board, but has a silver, metallized polyester film back liner which enhances the vapour resistance of the product. GTEC Vapour can be jointed and finished with GTEC Jointing Systems. The boards must be primed with GTEC Universal Sealer prior to being decorated.

Colour:

Edges:

Tapered down the long edges. Edges are adhered together.

Board size/ weight:

  • 2400 x 1200 x 9.5 mm: 17.3 kg.
  • 2400 x 1200 x 12.5 mm: 23.0 kg.
  • 2400 x 1200 x 15.0 mm: 28.8 kg.

Jointing finishing and painting:

The board should be jointed and finished with GTEC Jointing Systems. Boards are suitable for gypsum finishing plasters manufactured to BS EN 13279-1:2008. The boards must be primed with GTEC Universal Sealer prior to being decorated.

Fixing:

GTEC self-drilling or GTEC high-thread screws required.

  • Moisture content: <2%.
  • Mass: 6.0 kg/m² for 9.5 mm board; 8.0 kg/m² for 12.5 mm board; 10.0 kg/m² for 15 mm board.
  • Thermal conductivity, λR: 0.19 W/m·K.
  • Thermal resistance, R: 9.5 mm: 0.050 m²K/W; 12.5 mm: 0.066 m²K/W; 15 mm: 0.079 m²K/W.
  • Water vapour resistance factor: µ = 930.
  • Water vapour resistance: 58.5 MN·s/g.

- Flexural strength (to BS EN 520):

  • 9.5 mm board: longitudinal breaking load: ≥400 N, transversal breaking load: ≥160 N.
  • 12.5 mm board: longitudinal breaking load: ≥550 N, transversal breaking load: ≥210 N.
  • 15 mm board: longitudinal breaking load: ≥650 N, transversal breaking load: ≥250 N.
