Application

Used as an underscreed membrane to absorb impact noise vibrations and prevent screed percolation in timber-to-concrete construction, typically applied in new constructions or renovation works on masonry or timber structurers.

Description

Silent Floor Bytum is a resilient underscreed membrane made of elastoplastomeric bitumen waterproofing membrane and polyester fibre felt made from post-consumer waste.

Features and benefits:

  • Absorbs vibrations from impact noise up to 20 dB.
  • Prevents screed from percolating in applications with timber and concrete connectors, making it safe for historic or valuable buildings.
  • Watertight due to the bituminous mixture that closes around the fastening system.
  • Stable over time and highly compatible with fresh concrete.
