Showerstone
Application

Tiles, small mosaics, and a variety of flooring types including vinyl, timber, concrete (for incorporation into a screeded floor finish for tiling/ vinyl coating), and sheet flooring. To be fixed using a polymer enhanced, cement-based, flexible tile adhesive or vinyl flooring adhesive.

For fitting instructions onto different types of substrate, consult manufacturer's literature.

Description

A sloping level-access shower floor with integral drainage which can be covered with either vinyl sheet flooring or ceramic tiles. It is designed to be fitted on a concrete or directly onto a timber joisted floor.

Features and benefits:

  • The textured surface has been engineered to provide optimum bonding.
  • The 22 mm thickness enables the Showerstone to replace sections of the flooring when lowered onto the joists.
  • Robust enough to span floor joists up to 450 mm apart.
  • Fully waterproof, so no tanking system is required (when edges are sealed).
  • Strong construction.
  • Suitable for wheelchair access.
  • Easy installation.
  • Can be used on top of underfloor heating without blocking the heat.
  • High drainage rate of 36 L per minute.
  • Can be cut to size.
  • The drain includes a clamping ring to secure vinyl flooring.
  • Non-compressible, with high resistance to point loading, making the panels suitable for covering with various types of floor surface including vinyl and small mosaic tiles.
  • Incorporates a horizontally draining gully as standard, however a vertical version is also available.
  • Provides an alternative to building up the gradient with screed.
  • Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

The former slopes from 22 mm at the outside edge to 10 mm at the drain location, and is designed to be compatible with the Marmox McAlpine drain which is supplied in two versions: the tile version or the vinyl flooring version.
