SDA5 Aluminium Bracket/Rail Clamping Fastener

A4 (1.4401 [316] grade) austenitic stainless steel self drilling clamping fastener for rainscreen aluminium bracket/rail connections. The head form comes available in the industry standard 8 mm hex head and SR2 internal drive.

It features a new patent pending thread geometry and optimized drill point. It fixes pre-punched stainless steel or aluminium cladding support sections to aluminium sections with a thickness of 1.5 mm or more, securely and permanently.

Under the head is a unique thread geometry, which enables the aluminium rail/ bracket to be clamped tightly together and prevent over torqueing on fixed point applications. It also allows thermal movement on sliding point applications.

Drill capacity:

Can drill up to 5 mm aluminium.

Clamping range:

The unique thread geometry also allows for clamping of 3.5–8 mm.

Warranty:

Up to 40 years (period to be confirmed and agreed specific to the project).

The SDA5-A4 Fasteners are DIN compliant application (in acc. with DIN 18516-1).
