Description

Lightweight mortar for the reinstatement of concrete, where low permeability characteristics are required and where high compressive strength is not the most important consideration. It is a blend of Portland cements, graded aggregates, lightweight fillers and chemical additives to which a controlled amount of clean water is added in situ to produce a highly consistent, lightweight repair mortar.

It is specifically developed for vertical and overhead repair work and can be applied in sections up to 60 mm thickness in vertical locations and up to 40 mm thickness in overhead locations in a single application and without the use of formwork. It conforms to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 Class R3.

  • Compressive strength (to BS EN 12190): 10 MPa (1 day), 30 MPa (28 days).
  • Flexural strength (to BS 6319-3): 5.2 MPa (28 days).
  • Reaction to fire (to BS EN 13501-1): Class A2 s1 d0.
  • Setting time: Three hours (initial set), five and a half hours (final set).
  • Tensile strength (to BS 6319-3): 2.5 MPa (28 days).
