Description

Environmental:

  • QuadCore AWP LEC has an LCA (LifeCycle Assessment) that shows a 21.17% reduction in embodied carbon (measured by the Global Warming Potential ‘GWP’ kg CO₂ e) between life cycle modules A1–A3, and a 15% reduction in embodied carbon between life cycle modules A–C.

  • All Kingspan Insulated Panels manufacturing facilities across the UK and Ireland are 100% Net Zero Energy. In addition, facilities located in Kingscourt, Holywell and Sherburn generate renewable energy onsite which contributes to that sites energy mix.
  • Kingspan Insulated Panels produced in the UK are certified to BES 6001 (Framework Standard for the Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products) ‘Very Good’


Kingspan QuadCore:

  • QuadCore is a self-blended, micro cell structured, insulation core unique to Kingspan that delivers the highest performance of any closed cell insulation core across four factors: fire, thermal, environmental & longevity.
  • The QuadCore™ insulation used in QuadCore™ AWP LEC Wall Panels has a thermal conductivity value of 0.018 W/m.K.

Certification and Testing:

  • Classified B-s1,d0, when tested on the internal face of the product, according to the European Reaction to Fire classification system (Euroclasses) BS EN 13501–1.
  • Certified to FM 4880, FM 4881, FM 4882 Class 1 (for thicknesses 45-150 mm and panel widths of 900 mm and 1000 mm).

Side laps sealing

Factory applied weather seal set in rebate.

End laps sealing

Internal face of panel to be air sealed to perimeter supports/ flashing using a 20 x 9 mm PVC foam tape. Kingspan AWP filler and non-setting gun-grade, site applied at the end of each panel where flashings pass over the joint. Bridging seal across panel joint in line with AWP filler and internal air seal to be non-setting gun-grade.
