London Underground approved, pre-mixed inorganic powder suitable for adding to water to produce a mortar which is intended for use as a gap filling material where non-combustible pipes and ducts penetrate fire compartment floors and walls.
Non-combustible compound manufactured from lightweight aggregates, inorganic binders and gypsum cement.
Features and benefits:
Standards and approvals:
Tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 20: 1987. The tests were conducted on a fire compartment wall penetrated by a variety of services which included galvanized sheet metal duct and iron pipes, all pointed up in QF4 compound to a thickness of 160 mm. Results demonstrated that the integrity and insulation values of QF4 were retained for four hours.
Application/ installation:
Coverage:
One square metre at 160 mm thickness requires approximately 320 kg (13 x 25 kg sacks) of QF4 and will provide a four hour rated fire seal.
