Insulation system for inverted, green and blue roofs.


Features and benefits:

  • Consists of rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation and a tri-laminate polypropylene membrane.
  • The membrane reduces the amount of water reaching the waterproofing layer and so improves the thermal performance of the roof.


Polyfoam Roofboard Extra (insulation):

  • Low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).


Polyfoam Slimline Zero Membrane (separating and water flow reducing layer):

  • Waterproof and water vapour permeable.
  • Tensile strength to EN 12311-1: MD: 185 N/50mm; CD: 130 N/50mm.
  • Nail tear resistance (to EN 12310-1): 55 N/200mm.
  • Water resistance (to EN 20811): 1.5 m head of water.
  • Water vapour transmission (23°C, 85% RH): 1200 g/m².day.

Compressive strength (minimum) at 10% compression

300 kPa.

Polyfoam Roofboard Extra:

Highly resistant to compression and withstands both occasional and long term static loads. The high compressive strength and rigidity of the product allows a range of ballast material including gravel, soil and concrete slabs to be used as part of the construction.

Load bearing construction elements should be designed to adequately support the combination of imposed and dead loads without creating excessive deflection.
