Application

Suitable substrates include concrete, cement: sand render/ screed, anhydrite screeds, existing vinyl/ flooring grade asphalt, existing glazed tiles, plasterboard/ plaster, heated floors and plywood overlay on existing timber floors.
It is ideal for use in heavy-duty areas such as swimming pools, commercial showers and locations where thermal variation may occur, such as heated floors.
Designed for fixing all types of tiles, including dark natural stone, to a variety of building surfaces in internal, external and total immersion locations.

Description

A highly polymer-fortified, fibre-reinforced adhesive mortar designed with increased flexural strength for fixing all types of tiles, including dark natural stone, to a variety of building surfaces in internal, external and total immersion locations.

The increased polymer level, combined with fibres, gives reinforced flexural and bond strength in addition to giving the adhesive crack bridging properties of up to 3 mm. A further benefit of the adhesive is its anti-shrinkage properties, making it suitable for a bed thickness of up to 10 mm.

Application method Norcros Prime Bond is recommended on certain substrates, including power-floated concrete, plywood and gypsum plaster/ plasterboard; see technical literature for details. Norcros Wet Seal Tanking Membrane is recommended for use in wet areas (or intermittent wetting such as showers and moisture-sensitive backgrounds). Norcros Permalayer anti-fracture membrane may be used on newly poured (48 hours) concrete/ power-floated concrete and sand: cement screed. Under-tile heating cables and mats should be encapsulated in a bed of either Norcros Pro 50 or Norcros Universal Floor Leveller.	-
