Application

  • Designed for covering of large and small inclined and vertical surfaces on roofs and facade cladding applications.
  • Can be used on ventilated and damp proof facades.
  • Can be used as a dormer roof covering and dormer fascia covering.
  • The minimum pitch of the roof is 25° or 18° when the vertex of the shingle is soldered.

Description

Aesthetically pleasing zinc shingles as a versatile cladding solution, available as square, rectangular, triangular, diamond and rhomboid shapes in a range of different sizes.

NedZink produces titanium zinc in accordance with EN 988, an alloy based on electrolytically refined zinc with a minimum purity of 99.995% Zn (Z1 in accordance with EN 1179) with small additions of the alloy elements copper, titanium and aluminium.


Material - A1 Fire rated.


Suitable for both roofing or facade cladding, can also be used as a dormer roof covering. NedZink titanium zinc protects a building for up to 70 or even 150 years. An environmental product declaration with ECO platform label for NedZink NATUREL, NedZink NEO and NedZink NOIR are available, consult literature for details.


Profiles:

The dimensions of the eaves profiles, attachment profiles etc. will depend on the on-site dimensions and can either be made by the sheet metal worker or supplied custom-made in lengths as custom items.


Substructure:

  • The product must be fully supported by timber, preferably of rough, unplaned boards, 23-25 mm thick and not tongue and grooved, with gaps of at least 5 mm.
  • Use galvanized nails with a zinc-layer thickness of at least 20 µm or AISI 1.4301 (304 grade) stainless steel for fastening.

Suitable substructure materials:

  • Ventilated 18 mm-thick weather and boil proof (WPB) plywood.
  • Ventilated oriented strand board OSB3.
  • Hard metal board.
  • Composite panel.
  • Rigid insulation.
  • Metal trapezoidal deck (cladding only).

ISO-Mat Pro®.


Fixing clips:

SM-ELH-27.


Sliding clip, 70 x 50 mm:

  • Material thickness as for the shingle.
  • The sliding clip functions as a support clip.


Soldered clips:

  • Width: 50 mm.
  • Length: 100 mm (approximately), depending on the location and space for fitting on the base.


Technical characteristics of base material:

  • Vickers hardness (HV3): 40 (minimum).
  • Folding test: No fractures on the fold, no cracks, relative tensile strength D >0.7 x original tensile strength.
  • Permanent stretch in creep test: 0.1% (maximum)
  • Edgewise bow: 1.5 mm/m (maximum).
  • Flatness-corrugation: 2 mm (maximum).
  • Recrystallisation temperature: >300°C.
