Description

Low-carbon laminated safety glass and acoustic glass.

Low-Carbon Stratobel

Low carbon laminated flat glass solutions providing protection from injuries and falls.

Low-Carbon Stratophone

Low carbon laminated safety glass solutions providing delivering high-level acoustic insulation that absorbs sound and blocks out noise.

Features and benefits:

  • Reduced carbon footprint (generates around 40% less CO2 than AGCs standard glass).
  • Delivers the same technical performance as standard AGC glass.
  • No compromise on aesthetics.
  • Looks identical to normal glass, with the safety benefits of lamination.
  • Transparent protection is provided by interlayers made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) that are sandwiched between sheets of glass.
  • If the glass is broken, most of the fragments adhere to the interlayer (in other words, the glazing stays in place) keeping people safe from injuries or falls and preventing intrusion.
  • The safety level is determined by the thickness of the glass and the configuration (number of PVB interlayers).
  • Certified tests (available on request) validate the performance of each product composition in terms of ageing (EN 12543) or resistance to soft impact (EN 12600).
  • By incorporating special PVB interlayers, special tinted float glass and/ or coatings, additional functionality can be added to the existing safety functionality.
  • Multifunctional: Ability to combine aesthetics, safety and other functions, such as solar control and thermal insulation in a single product.
  • Sustainable: Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Silver.
  • Unlimited possibilities in terms of thickness and configuration (how many sheets of glass, thickness of each sheet, number of PVB layers).
  • Ten-year warranty.
