Application

Specifically for use at bus stops and in bus stations to help bus drivers dock close to, and parallel with, the kerb and to aid boarding and alighting for all passengers, particularly the disabled.

Description

Slimline kerbs suited for retro-fit applications where the kerb line requires minimum excavation prior to installation.

Features and benefits:

  • Available in either concrete or granite finishes.
  • Available in three sizes (140, 160 or 180 mm).
  • Compatible with Diamond paving (specified separately).
  • Provides a reduced gap between the pavement and the bus platform.
  • Large number of compatible accessories, integrating it into any project.
  • Combines a smooth 75˚ face flowing into a bottom end radius to provide a smooth, curved profile. This serves to produce a self-steering effect allowing the bus to dock with the tyre very close to, or touching, the kerb – but without causing unnecessary tyre wear.
  • Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1340: 2003 (CE marked) and have also been judged to conform to DIN 18024-1 'The certification scheme for barrier free designs, building and products'.
  • The design ensures that it will not be displaced in service whilst the patterned top surface is an important indicator to users that this is not a standard kerb.
