A biodegradable mat used to bind the substrate in green roof applications.
Install by loose laying directly onto the substrate prior to planting or seeding, with 200 mm overlaps. The product can be cut to size or to fit around protrusions with scissors, do not attempt to cut with a knife. Secure in place with wooden pegs for additional stability.
JEG anti-erosion mat is a large meshed, biodegradable, jute hessian net made from 100% natural fibres. It is water absorbent and chemically and biologically neutral. The product is used as an anti-erosion mat on sloped green roofs of 15° or steeper, or in highly exposed locations. The mat eventually decomposes, by which time the growth of vegetation on the roof will bind the substrate sufficiently to resist erosion naturally. The product does not inhibit plant growth or water run-off.
Application:
Install by loose laying directly onto the substrate prior to planting or seeding, with 200 mm overlaps. The product can be cut to size or to fit around protrusions with scissors, do not attempt to cut with a knife. Secure in place with wooden pegs for additional stability.
