Application

Firetherm Intumastic may be used to fire seal linear joints between substrates in compartment locations. It may also be used in movement joints and offers a movement capability of up to 30%.

Description

A fire rated mastic for internal use, containing acrylic emulsion, inert fillers and fungicide, suitable for linear joint widths of 0–35 mm and movement details of 30–150 mm. Available in white or grey and can be over-painted using acrylic paints (must be fully cured before over-coating).

Maximum openings:

  • Wall and floor: 35 mm x infinite length linear gap.
  • Movement seal: 200 mm x infinite length.

Fire resistance:

Up to four hours' integrity and insulation.

Coverage:

  • 10 mm wide seal: 3.25 m (approximate).
  • 15 mm wide seal: 1.35 m (approximate).
  • 20 mm wide seal: 0.78 m (approximate).

Tack free time:

15–60 minutes, depending on temperature/ humidity.

Depth to width ratio:

  • Walls and floors: 1:1.
  • Split wall seals: 2:1.
