A single component, borate free, high solids, low VOC intumescent coating designed to provide fire protection to structural steelwork.
To provide up to 60 minutes fire protection on 'I' section beams, columns and hollow sections. Suitable for both off-site and on-site application due to its ease of use, fast drying and handling properties. Can be used over a wide range of approved priming systems. Interchar 2060 should always be applied over a recommended anti-corrosive coating scheme. It should be protected from pooling or running water and is not designed for frequent water immersion/ soaking.
Independently tested at accredited laboratories to BS 476-20, 21 and 22, and third party assessed and certified.

Where a polysiloxane topcoat is envisaged, application of a tie coat over the Interchar 2060 will be necessary. In environmental exposure conditions other than internal, dry as per ISO 12944-2, C1 and C2 classifications, Interchar 2060 must always be suitably topcoated.
