Application

Waterproofing layer in protected flat roofs (including zero fall), inverted roofs and blue roof specifications in combination with a storm water attenuation system.
Suitable for community and amenity, education, health, hotel and leisure, industrial, mixed-use, offices, utilities and retail applications.

Description

A hot applied roofing waterproofing membrane system manufactured from a specially formulated combination of refined bitumen, synthetic rubbers, fillers and other additives while being very environmentally friendly with 45% recycled content and zero wrapper waste. The membrane is applied in two layers to provide a waterproofing layer with a nominal coating thickness of 6 mm.

Guidance for specification option: Permaguard-HDPB is a 3 mm thick high density polymeric protection board with high impact resistance for use in heavy-duty situations. It is installed into the second coat of Permatec Compound whilst it is still hot. 2 no. coats of IKO Permatec Ecowrap hot melt compound, plus IKO Permaguard-PB. Guidance for specification option: Permaguard-PB is a 3.2 mm thick protection board, fabricated with a bituminous core and glass fibre reinforcement. It is installed into the second coat of Permatec Compound whilst it is still hot.

Surface treatment	IKO Permaguard-F protection layer. IKO Roofgarden 4 APP AD/F. Guidance for specification option: IKO Roofgarden is used as the top layer to reinforced bitumen membrane systems when installing roof garden finishes above.

Guidance for specification option: At structural movement joints up to 25 mm (maximum 50% total movement), PermaFLASH-UN reinforcement must be installed fully bonded in hot Permatec compound centrally over the movement joint. At structural movement joints between 12 and 50 mm (maximum 50% total movement), a proprietary joint system must be installed. Consult manufacturer for suitable products.
