Application

It is usually used as a separating membrane in mastic asphalt roofing systems. It is loose laid onto the roof deck or thermal insulation, with minimum 50 mm side and end laps, prior to the application of the hot mastic asphalt. It is also used in certain light duty mastic asphalt flooring applications (e.g. where the base is timber).

Sheathing felt comprising of a batt of recycled natural jute fibre which is impregnated with bitumen.
