Application

IG's Welded Masonry Support systems support the outer leaf masonry material on steel or concrete framed structures.

The system can support any outer leaf masonry material:

Brickwork
Fair-face blockwork
Rendered blockwork
Reconstituted Stone

The system can accommodate a wide range of masonry loads up to 50 kN/m based on project requirements and is suitable for cavity widths ranging from 50 to 250mm.

Description

IG’s Cavity Closer Welded Masonry Support is a rigid masonry support system comprising fixed brackets welded to a stainless steel angle support shelf.

WMS Cavity Closer is suitable for applications where the support level is in line with the base of the structural frame, and when a cover is required to the underside of the angle support shelf to conceal the cavity in the building.

Each system is supplied with lock washers, shims and fixings to aid installation. WMS is designed and manufactured to engineers’ specifications on a project basis and offers three planes of adjustability onsite.
