  • Domestic dwellings.
  • Commercial buildings such as offices and retail.
  • Industrial buildings.
  • Schools and colleges.
  • Hotels and healthcare buildings.

Description

Hush Gyp-Cem Panel 28 is a high mass, acoustic dry screed panel designed to provide an acoustic flooring solution. It has been developed to perform well at reducing both airborne and impact noise in construction types deemed to be too lightweight.

Hush Gyp-Cem Panel 28 is effective because it increases mass levels in a lightweight structure - this means the airborne acoustic performance will be increased as well as impact performance.

Hush Gyp-Cem Panel 28 comprises an 18 mm tongued and grooved gypsum fibre particleboard and a Hush Felt 10 resilient layer.

Features and benefits:

  • High mass acoustic flooring panel which effectively addresses both airborne and impact noise issues.
  • Good acoustic performance.
  • The dual performance increases both airborne and impact sound reduction.
  • Very stable surface to carry many floor finishes.
  • Complies with the requirements of Approved Document E compliant (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).
  • Can be used to form a robust detail compliant solution.

Installation:

  • Hush Gyp-Cem 28 should be laid in the conventional broken bond pattern with all tongue and groove joints glued using the Hush Cem Adhesive.
  • Hush Seal 20 or a range of Hush flanking strips should be used to isolate the perimeters of the board.
  • Hush Gyp-Cem Panel joints must be glued using the Hush Cem Adhesive.
  • Hush Gyp-Cem Panel perimeters to be sealed using the Hush Seal 20 or Hush Flanking Strips.
