HD1027 Hush System Premier is a reliable soundproof floor system for timber floors that is suitable for conversion, refurbishment and new build projects.

As an economical sound insulation system for separating floors constructed using timber, HD1027 works by combining a number of high quality sound insulating materials from Hush Acoustics including Hush-Panel 48 acoustic panels and Hush-Slab 100 sound absorber slabs.

Excellent sound reduction performance is confirmed through the system’s compliance with all relevant UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

It also provides a 1 hour fire resistance at ceiling level.

How the HD1027 system is formed:

• Hush-Panel 48 is installed over a floor deck with all tongue and groove joints glued using Hush-Bond, and all perimeters sealed using Hush-Seal 20.
• From the ceiling side, Hush-Slab 100 is then fitted in the voids between the timber joists with Hush-Bars screw fixed to the underside of joists at 600 mm centres and at right angles to the joists.
• Two layers of 15 mm Gyproc Soundbloc plasterboard are then secured to Hush-Bars, with all perimeters sealed prior to skimming.
