Acoustic separating floor system.
Suitable for use in refurbishment and conversion developments where a joisted structure is in place.
HD1014 Hush System 2003 Overlay provides an effective sound insulation solution for separating floors in refurbishment projects constructed using timber joists.
This fully tested system treats both the floor and ceiling, bringing together Hush-Panel 28 floating floor panels, Hush Seal 20 and Hush-Slab 100 sound absorbers fitted to Hush-Bar resilient bars.
HD1014 is a system which can upgrade the acoustic performance of traditionally constructed timber joists floors/ceilings with relative ease.
Tested as a complete system, HD1014 provides assured performance and is fully compliant with the Building Regulations relating to sound insulation - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland). It also provides 1 hour fire resistance.
How HD1014 is formed:
Acoustic performance *
Impact (L’nT,w) - 51 dB
Airborne (DnT,w) - 58 dB
Airborne (DnT,w + Ctr) - 49 dB
* Results based on all Hush Components of the Hush System HD1014 being used and installed correctly as per the Hush Installation guides. It is recommended that the structure consists of a minimum 200 mm timber joist.
