Application

Top-hung upper element and outward opening vertical lower element that allows the living space to be extended to an outside terrace. For roof pitches from 35–53°.

Description

Features and benefits:

Designed to give access from the building interior to a roof terrace.
The system includes the GEL top-hung sloping element which opens up to 45º and VEA or VEB side hung vertical element, or VEC fixed vertical element: the opening of both elements gives access out on to the terrace.
The roof terrace can be supplied as either a double or triple combination. There can only be one opening lower vertical element the others muse be fixed for structural stability.
Each double or triple package is specified as a single code reference but contains all the components required to construct the roof terrace system.
Each configuration has two variants, one to suit slate and flat roofing materials up to 8mm thick and one to suit flat and profiled roofing materials up to 120 mm in profile.
Standard components are available to order for the specification of non-standard roof terrace system configurations. Special sizes are not available.
Flashings and EEX rail supports are included as part of each standard package, however these should be specified separately for non-standard roof terrace system configurations.
External balcony floor and railings not supplied by VELUX.
