Application
Designed to close off gaps and penetrations in compartment walls and floors, to provide up to four hours' fire resistance.
This product has been formulated to close off plastic pipe penetrations in the event of a fire, negating the need for pipe closers or wrap systems. It is suitable for the following service penetrations up to 125 mm; polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) pipes, high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes including Armaflex and glass wool insulation.
FS709 can also be used with metallic pipes, cables and cable bunches including telecommunication cables, cable trays and cable ladders.
Description
A high pressure, graphite intumescent mastic which when exposed to fire expands, protecting penetrations including cables, cable bunches, cable trays, plastic and metallic pipes. FS709 maintains the integrity and insulation performance of the seal through masonry and plasterboard and some uses within FB750 Batts.
