A BS 8629 compliant evacuation alert system suitable for use by firefighters in high-rise residential buildings to evacuate all or part of the building in an emergency.


Features and benefits:

  • Firefighter's EACIE (evacuation control and indicating equipment) is housed in a robust vandal-resistant GERDA cabinet to STS 205 and EN 1303.

Manufacturer guidance

Main EACIE panel is coated in epoxy paint. Flat interfaces and vibrating pillow pad jack socket plates include 200 micron velvet polyester labels. Self-testing sounders have a polished ABS plastic finish.

Guidance for specification option:

Can be used in conjunction with a BF320JP connection plate or BF320AB Alert Buddy unit to warn the hearing impaired of a potential evacuation alert condition. Measures 100 x 34 mm.

ALERT BUDDY Stand-Alone Deaf Alert System (BF320AB).

Guidance for specification option:

Designed for use with a BF320 vibrating pillow pad to warn the hearing impaired of an evacuation alert condition. Works by monitoring and listening to the ambient sound in a room. When a fire alarm or evacuation alert signal is detected, Alert Buddy will flash, emit a low frequency tone and activate the pillow pad. This combination of light + sound + vibration maximizes the chances of someone waking even if they are sleeping. Measures 108 x 206 x 61 mm. Can be wall-mounted or sit on a table.

A single way flat interface for use on a C-TEC EVAC-ALERT system. Typically located outside a flat or apartment above the door. Measures 147 x 87 x 22 mm.

EVAC-ALERT 4-8 Way Flat Interface (CA737).

Guidance for specification option:

A four way flat interface, expandable to eight ways using a CA737PCB, for use on a C-TEC EVAC-ALERT system. Typically mounted in a riser. Measures 380 x 235 x 96 mm.

EVAC-ALERT Single Gang Locking Jack Socket for BF320 (BF320JP).

Guidance for specification option:

Can be used in conjunction with a BF320 vibrating pillow pad on a C-TEC EVAC-ALERT system to warn the hearing impaired of a potential fire alarm or evacuation alert condition. Measures 86 x 86 x 15 mm. Mounts on a 25 mm single gang back.
