Description

Ventilated facade kit system comprising cassettes of STACBOND® A2 composite panels.

Features and benefits:

  • Ventilated facade composing of 4 mm thick aluminium composite panels with two 0.5 mm thick aluminium sheets (interior and exterior) and a mineral inner core.
  • The system has a hidden male-female coupling system and is versatile and quick to install.
  • Cassettes can be installed either vertically or horizontally, with gaps of 10–20 mm.
  • It is specially designed to develop facades with horizontal aspect of mainly solid wall with small surface of openings or linear spaces.
  • Product and installation according to BBA and ETA-ETE, CE Marked.

Substructure:

The system comprises two 60603 T5 aluminium alloy profiles onto which the pre-formed cassettes are attached. The lower female profile (profile S) and the upper male profile (profile Z). The substructure is composed of profiles OMEGA and spacers DOUBLE T in 6063-T5 aluminium alloy. The facade is completed with joints for dilatation and connecting elements for heads, jambs and sills of windows by utilizing bespoke panel pieces.

Spacers are available in various lengths to house the required thickness of thermal insulation and compensate for any irregularities in the facade. Specific insulating thermal break wedges are placed between the spacers DOUBLE T and the vertical face. The spacers are anchored to the wall using special mechanical fixings and receive the profiles OMEGA as uprights.

The composite panel cassettes are mechanically attached to the uprights. The facade is constructed from the base up in a manner that the profile S of each upper cassette sits on the profile Z of the cassette below it. Mechanical anchoring is via screwing the profile Z to the profile OMEGA. To avoid vibration on the male-female cassettes and the profiles S and Z, protective ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) gaskets are incorporated.

Finish

Aluminium coated in the external face with a thickness of 25–40 μ. This coating comprises of two layers: An internal primer (conversion layer) of 5–10 μ and an external coating (PvdF 70/30 – 70% polyvinyl fluoride, 30% acrylic resin). The panels are supplied with a protective film with a thickness of 100 μ. The pre-processing of aluminium used in both faces is chromium-free
