Application

Suitable applications include:

  • Plaza decks.
  • Split-slab deck construction.
  • Foundation walls.
  • Earth-covered structures.
  • Property line construction.
  • Under slab.
  • Tunnels.
  • Greenroofs.

Description

A 1.5 mm nominal thermoplastic membrane reinforced with a 90 g/m² polyester reinforcing scrim, integrally bonded to an XP Technology Core. Polymer technology provides performance in a wide range of ground contaminates, including high-salinity conditions.

The barrier performance starts with a thermoplastic membrane with welded seams, providing a monolithic watertight barrier layer. The thermoplastic membrane is reinforced with a polyester reinforcing scrim and is produced with DuPont’s Elvaloy-KEE® (Keytone Ethylene Ester), a solid phase high molecular weight ethylene interpolymer.

Features and benefits:

  • Does not experience phase separation and migrate out; thus the membrane properties are maintained for long term performance.
  • Provides chemical resistance properties.
  • The XP Technology Core layer is integrally bonded to the Elvaloy-KEE® thermoplastic membrane.
  • The XP layer is designed to activate with water to swell and form a positive seal. Thereby, at any unforeseen puncture or installation defect, the XP layer reacts at the breach, self-sealing to stop the water ingress.
  • Welded thermoplastic membrane composite with reactive, self-sealing XP technology feature.
  • The membrane can be continued under the floor slab and up onto a horizontal deck to provide a continuous, uniform waterproofing system.
  • Can be used to waterproof structures under continuous or intermittent hydrostatic pressure.
