Application
Suitable for use on refurbishment timber floors, when the existing floorboards are to be replaced. Typical applications include:
- Any timber floor refurbishment project where problems with noise have been encountered and the existing floorboard are to be replaced.
- Projects where height restrictions exist but a reliable performance is still required.
- Materials change of use Approved Document E projects when used with an appropriately insulated ceiling.
- Suitable when looking for an improvement in acoustic insulation but access is only available from the above property.
Description
JoistDeck 37 is a high-performance acoustic floor panel designed to be installed directly on to joists with a resilient acoustic ceiling system below. It comprises a 22 mm tongue and groove 4 P5 moisture resistant chipboard laminated to a 15 mm chip foam resilient layer.
Features and benefits:
- Easy and cost effective to install, uses only one primary component to provide insulation and a floor finish.
- Does not excessively increase the floor height, this avoids problems with having to re-house electrical circuits.
- Can be used with a variety of floor finishes.
- Non-load bearing partitions can be built off the finished floor surface.
- Laid straight to joists so no sub-deck is required.
- Excellent performance to height ratio.
- Acoustic perimeter strip is also recommended for use around the edge of the room.
- Compliant with Approved Document E (England and Wales).
