Fire rated intumescent sealant that expands above 125°C to form a fire and smoke seal. Flexible, paintable finish. Tested to BS EN 1634-1, BS 476, and BS EN 1366-4.
Application
Suitable for sealing joints in and around internal partitions and for sealing between fire door frames and fire-rated walls.
Description
Ceritek DM-01 is a halogen free, polymer emulsion-based sealant that swells when subjected to temperatures in excess of 125℃ and forms a char coat that restricts the passage of smoke and fire.
Features and benefits:
- Forms a fire and smoke seal in joints up to 35 mm wide without slumping.
- Easily applied and dries to a flexible and smooth surfaced material which can be painted with ease.
- Excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates and will not harden or crack with age.
- Recommended that a sealant depth of at least 8 mm be applied.
Tested standards:
- To BS EN 1634-1:2014 + A1 2018: 60 minutes within door assembly.
- To BS 476 Parts 20:1987 and 22: 1987: 60 minutes within door assembly.
- To BS EN 1366-4, linear seals and timber door frames.
- Acoustic properties - tested to BS EN ISO 140-3.
