Cavity Closers

A range of insulated, fire-resistant and BBA approved and cavity closers.

Features and benefits:

• The products are designed for use at door and window openings, providing a damp proof barrier between inner and outer wall leaves without forming a thermal bridge.
• Can accommodate standard window reveals and rebated check reveals.

Product options:

- Type G240 Rigid cavity closer with double flange:

• BBA approved.
• Comprising a core of CFC-free, 27 mm polystyrene insulation with a fire retardant additive, with extruded PVC-U sections push-fitted either side.
• PVC-U sections incorporate fixing channels (ribbed flanges include fixing holes in the flange).
• Suitable for use where the inner and outer masonry leaves are in line.
• Meets the required U-value at the reveal of door and window openings when the frames are fixed to allow a 15 mm overlap into the cavity.
• Widths: 50 mm, 65 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm. Intermediate sizes are available on request.
• K-value: 0.035 W/m·K.

- Type G242 Rigid cavity closer with single flange:

• BBA approved.
• Comprising a core of CFC-free, 27 mm polystyrene insulation with a fire retardant additive, with extruded PVC-U sections push-fitted either side.
• PVC-U sections incorporate fixing channels (ribbed flanges include fixing holes in the flange).
• Suitable for use where the brickwork is rebated to the blockwork.
• Widths: 50 mm, 65 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm. Intermediate sizes are available on request.
• K-value: 0.035 W/m·K.

- Type G243 Flexible cavity closer with double flange:

• BBA approved.
• Comprising a core of CFC-free, 24 mm polystyrene insulation with a fire retardant additive, with extruded PVC-U sections push-fitted either side.
• PVC-U sections incorporate fixing channels (ribbed flanges include fixing holes in the flange).
• Type G243 is suitable for use with circular and arched openings.
• Widths: 50 mm, 65 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm. Intermediate sizes are available on request.
• K-value: 0.035 W/m·K.

- Type G244 Flexible cavity closer with single flange:

• BBA approved.
• Comprising a core of CFC-free, 24 mm polystyrene insulation with a fire retardant additive, with extruded PVC-U sections push-fitted either side.
• PVC-U sections incorporate fixing channels (ribbed flanges include fixing holes in the flange).
• Type G244 is suitable for use with circular and arched openings.
• Widths: 50 mm, 65 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm. Intermediate sizes are available on request.
• K-value: 0.035 W/m·K.

- Type G249F 30 Minute Fire Rated Cavity Closer:

• Comprising an enclosed box construction with a fibre insulating core, providing a solution to cold bridging and acting as a damp proof course and 30 minute fire barrier.
• The unique compressible clip feature allows the product to expand within the cavity, creating a continuous seal.
• Type G249F is suitable for new and refurbishment projects.
• Cavity widths: 50–70 mm, 70–90 mm, 90–110 mm, 110–130 mm.
• K-value: 0.039 W/m·K.
• Performance: Designed to comply with The Building Regulations Part L and Scottish Technical Standards Part D.

- Type G249R 30 Minute Fire Rated Cavity Closer:
