Cast Iron Air Brick Company Variant:

Cast iron air bricks, available in three imperial sizes and various designs.

Application

Suitable for:

  • Fly screen air brick (FLY): For supplying natural ventilation to interior rooms and sub-floor ventilation to prevent damp and dry rot. It can also be used as an extractor outlet vent grille over ducting.
  • Hit and miss (HM): For use in period properties to replace defective vents, and areas there is an exposed position facing the prevailing wind.
  • Louvre (L): For use in interior rooms, and as an extractor outlet vent grille over core drilled duct holes from room, hob, kitchen and bathroom extractors.
  • Regency scroll (REG) and maximum air flow brick (MAX): Can be used to provide air under suspended floors and for room ventilation to reduce condensation or provide combustion air for solid fuel appliances.
  • Slotted (VV): For use to provide air for combustion with open fire places.
  • Square hole brick (GRID): Suitable for installation to conservation areas.
  • Victorian 'Y' pattern (Y): Early to late Victorian properties.
  • Windsor (WIN): Modern extensions and narrow courses of brickwork.

Description

Cast iron air bricks, which are mortared into walls in the place of a single, double or triple brick.

Guidance for specification option:

For all 9 x 3", 9 x 6" and 9 x 9" air bricks. Transfers air through the wall to an internal grille.

Guidance for specification option:

For VV3, FLY3, FLY6, Reg3, Y3, Y6, MAX3 and MAX6 only. For use in conjunction with the CAVHEXT3/ CAVHEXT6/ CAVHEXT9.

Duct tape black.

Guidance for specification option:

Fabric high strength adhesive tape to secure imperial cast iron air bricks to metric cavity horizontal extensions and periscope duct.

Flood screen.

Guidance for specification option:

For FLY3 and FLY6 only. Cork gasket that can be used to replace the mesh when flooding is imminent and likely to occur. Removable.
