Description

ARDEX A 55 is an ultra rapid drying levelling and smoothing compound designed for use where speed is essential for renovation and repair work to internal sub-floors prior to floor finishes being laid.

Walkable and ready to receive floorcoverings in as little as 60 minutes. Priming is rarely required on prepared concrete and sand/ cement screeds.

An ARDEX A 35 screed smoothed with ARDEX A 55 can be installed and smoothed in as little as 4 hours.

ARDEX A 55 Can be applied from a feather edge to 10 mm in a single application.

Ideal for floors with underfloor heating.

Thickness:

From feather-edge to 10 mm in a single application. For thicknesses greater than 10 mm, aggregate should be added.

Limitations: ARDEX A55 is limited to 10 mm thick on ARDEX P82 primer. This is reduced to 6 mm on ARDEX P82 when onto ARDEX DPM/ ARDEX DPM 1C/ ARDEX DPM 1CR.

Primer:

Not generally required except in the following cases:

Anhydrite screeds and very porous surfaces: ARDEX P51 primer is recommended to prevent air bubbles rising from the base and reducing the flow properties of the compound.

Smooth, non absorbent sub-floors e.g. epoxy resin coatings: ARDEX P82 primer is recommended.

– ARDEX P51:

Aqueous synthetic based dispersion primer and bonding agent used to prepare internal surfaces to receive cement-based levelling compounds, adhesives or screeds.

– ARDEX P82:

Two-part water based synthetic dispersion primer and bonding agent used to form a priming/ bonding layer on most substrates, particularly smooth or dense surfaces.
