Aquron 2000 - Concrete Treatment

Aquron 2000 is a spray-applied colloidal silica hydrogel treatment for new and existing concrete.

Aquron 2000 penetrates deeply (up to 150 mm) into the concrete matrix by chemical attraction, immobilising internal moisture and preventing the entrance of external moisture. The majority of concrete deterioration issues are related to the movement of moisture, and moisture-borne contaminants, within the porosity of the concrete. Aquron 2000 offers permanent protection against these issues, and never needs to be re-applied.

Aquron 2000 immobilises moisture within concrete, completely removing the risk of moisture movement and allowing floor coverings to be installed only 28 days or 72 hours on existing concrete.

Features and benefits:

• Aquron 2000 works inside the concrete; there is no visible film or barrier on the surface.
• Long-term durability – concrete and steel permanently protected - resistant to chloride attack and freeze/thaw effects.
• Seals the porosity of the concrete up to 150 mm within the slab, and cannot be abraded by traffic or surface grinding.
• Non-moving cracks up to 0.5 mm are sealed.
• Hardens the concrete, avoiding the risk of delamination under traffic, and is suitable for exposed and exterior surfaces.
• Fully compatible with any paint, coating or adhesive designed for bare concrete; it does not introduce any element not already found within the concrete.
