Foil faced mineral wool and intumescent fire barrier for rainscreen systems.
Foil faced mineral wool and intumescent fire barrier for rainscreen systems, providing an effective cavity barrier solution for 'open-state' voids within a variety of facade applications. Allows ventilation and drainage of the cavity under service conditions, whilst providing up to 60 minutes fire resistance performance.
Features and benefits:
The brackets should be securely mechanically fixed to the internal wall at maximum 500 mm centres using non-combustible fixings.
VRB Lite requires the additional installation of four x 75 mm long course wound 'pigtail' screws impaled though the outer intumescent facing side of the product at 250 mm centres. The pigtail screws should protrude by a maximum of 25 mm, making contact with the rear of the rainscreen cladding, to ensure that an open continuous ventilated airspace is maintained. Consult manufacturer's literature for further installation information.
