ACT a permanent, elastic and airtight connection for Membranes, Vapour control layers, Sealing of Panel or board connections and penetrations, providing a 'secure and invisible bond'. DIN 4108-11
Application
ACT Applications include:
- Frame and panel connections (Timber & LGSF)
- Perimeter sealing of Plasterboards and Timber
- Timber, cross-laminated (CLT) and light gauge steel framing (LGSF) construction.
- Glazing, structural glazing and partitioning.
- Skylights and window elements.
- Sealing membranes to low energy surfaces.
- Vapour layers to floor and wall or difficult low energy surfaces - concrete, steels, masonry, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), building plastics, boards, sheathing, plaster and external boards.
- Airtight seal around apertures, doors and windows.
- Seals windows and frames including, Aluminium, PVC, Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) GRC and masonry.
Description
ACT Acrylic foam tapes provide permanent, strong and reliable adhesion, can bond to a wide variety of surfaces including low surface energy substrates.
The 'very high bond' characteristics of this double sided acrylic foamed adhesive can be used as a replacement for heavy mechanical fasteners and liquid adhesives, due to their ease of use and reliability.
ACT have have zero drying time and can be used in low temperature conditions where liquid adhesives may need to cure for lengthy periods.
ACT perform particularly well in applications that are subjected to movement as they have exceptional resistance to dynamic shear, also withstanding thermal movement and dynamic forces.
