Cement bonded particle board.
Application
Intended for use as a steel framing system (SFS) sheathing board but can also be used for timber frames, modular frames or off-site. A range of systems can be applied over A2 Versapanel® to help acoustic, fire, impact and pull out performance such as:
- Approved insulated render systems.
- Terracotta cladding systems.
- High performance cladding systems.
- Traditional brick coursework.
A breather membrane is recommended for external applications. Consult manufacturer for details.
Description
Cement bonded particle board comprising of wood particles and cement.
Features and benefits:
- Reaction to fire, A2-s1, d0 in accordance with BS EN 13501-1:2007 (+A1:2009).
- Contains no hazardous volatiles, is asbestos-free and any process dust is non-aggressive.
- High performance in the presence of moisture, in comparison to exterior gypsum boards.
- Cut edges require no sealing to prevent degradation and there is no time limit of exposure before covering with elements of the facade.
- Helps to improve the air tightness of facades when sealed at any joint.
- Provides a high mass robust exterior lining to optimize the acoustic performance of the building envelope.
- Can also be provided in a pre-fabricated kit to reduce site works.
- Weather resistant and will not degrade with permanent exposure.
- Tested for wind serviceability to CWCT standards.
- CE marked in accordance with BS EN 13986:2004 + A1:2015.
