A-FIX-WIND-SAFE is for use with Buzon pedestals and rail systems as an invisible fix to secure pavers on terraces and balconies where wind uplift might be an issue.
Application
For use on balconies and terraces with loose laid tiles, A-FIX-WIND-SAFE secures tiles to the pedestal solution.
Description
A-FIX-WIND-SAFE is a two-part, 3:1 ratio epoxy grade adhesive, which bonds tiles to the Buzon pedestal or rail solution.
Features and benefits:
- Class A fire-rated: A-FIX-WIND-SAFE works with Buzon’s non-combustible A-PED range, as well as pedestals and rails which form part of BROOF(t4) certified systems, the PB, DPH, and ALUrail ranges.
- As a non-mechanical hidden fix that requires no modifications to pavers or tiles, it is suitable for retrofit on existing sites identified as a cause for concern, as well as being a cost-effective solution for new projects.
- Can be used with porcelain, ceramic or concrete tiles.
The product was tested with different configurations of Buzon pedestals and 20 mm porcelain. All configurations were subjected to the following tests:
- Stepped increase test.
- Cyclic wind loading, open ended.
- Cyclic wind loading, blanked.
- Static load tests.
Consult manufacturer's literature for design loads when used in conjunction with other Buzon products.
