What do we do?
Spanwall designs and manufactures a wide range of rainscreen cladding, precision metal panels and architectural fabrications.
Whether technically complex or standardised using lean manufacturing and robotic technology, Spanwall’s products are world-class.
Spanwall can create design and build solutions from a building’s steel frame outwards. The company is based at its 7,500 m2 factory based in Belfast.
Some of our projects:
Spanwall has delivered a wide range of signature projects in more than a dozen countries over the past 55 years. Some of the most memorable include the World Cup cricket stadium in Barbados, the world-famous Titanic Visitors Centre in our native Belfast, a Supreme Education Council scheme in Qatar, a metro project in Riyahd, a number of high profile English soccer grounds and within HQs of some of the world’s top tech brands.
Our history:
Spanwall’s story has engineering at its core. More than 55 years ago it began manufacturing aluminium hoppers that were used for storage by Gallahers Cigarette factory and for laundry collection at a local hospital.
Today, it designs and manufactures a range of rainscreen cladding, precision metal panels and architectural fabrications used on some of the most recognisable buildings in the UK, Ireland and beyond.
Spanwall has become synonymous with technical and engineering innovation since its earliest days. It created a range of radar-absorbing panels for British Airways and a revolutionary fire-resistant insulation sheet system that is now sold under licence in the Far East. Spanwall was the first metal facades company in the UK and Ireland to undertake automated, metal bending and since then has produced some of the most complex and technically challenging façade panels in the world.
Evidenced Quality:
In a post-Grenfell era where facades and cladding have to be capable of passing the most rigorous fire tests, Spanwall’s track record in quality speaks for itself. Its highly acclaimed Xflam high performance fire-resistant insulation is sold under licence internationally. And when it comes to peer-respected accolades, the company is one of the most decorated in the industry. As well as holding ISO9001 Quality Management mark, the coveted CWCT, BBS, NHBC and Premier Guarantee certifications, Spanwall is a past winner of the prestigious European Aluminium Awards, an NBS Source Partner and a member of the Engineers of Ireland.
Doing business with us:
At Spanwall we firmly believe that business should be made as easy as possible. We pride ourselves in being people people, unafraid to do the heavy lifting so our clients don’t have to.
