Key elements of our contribution included supplying and fitting metal riser doors and sliding pocket doors, each meticulously designed to align with Auriens’ commitment to excellence.Safety was paramount in the design of Auriens’ residences. We supplied and installed bespoke metal riser doors, fire-rated for compliance with stringent safety standards. These doors, strategically placed throughout the development, contribute not only to the safety infrastructure but also to the overall design aesthetic. The unique touch came with the application of wallpaper, seamlessly concealing the riser doors and integrating them with the surrounding environment.In pursuit of a design that marries elegance with functionality, we provided sliding pocket doors with visible frames. These doors not only enhance the overall aesthetic but also contribute to space-saving solutions, a crucial consideration in retirement living spaces. With 145 rooms exquisitely designed with a modern flair, alongside a restaurant, bar, and coffee house, Lost Property promises a distinctive experience for travel enthusiasts seeking a memorable escape. The hotel’s central location offers convenient access to London’s iconic landmarks, including the Tate Modern, London Bridge, and Tower Bridge.Our team supplied bespoke riser doors strategically placed within the corridors. These doors serve a dual purpose – facilitating access to essential utility spaces while seamlessly blending into the overall design. The riser doors were carefully selected for their fire-resistant properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards without compromising on the hotel’s artistic vision.The key innovation lies in the wallpapering of the riser doors. The doors were expertly covered with wallpaper matching the surrounding area, effectively concealing their utilitarian function within the artistic tapestry of the hotel. Elevating aesthetics and safety at The Sienna Building, Basingstoke.Nestled in the heart of Basingstoke’s vibrant urban business park, The Sienna Building stands as a testament to modern design and urban regeneration. As part of the major mixed-use development orchestrated by Muse, a division of the Morgan Sindall Group, this striking Grade A office building includes a 288-space multi-storey car park, both designed to redefine Basingstoke’s town center.Our involvement in The Sienna Building project centered on providing bespoke riser doors, a crucial element in the overall safety and aesthetic considerations of the development. The project aimed to seamlessly integrate modern design with functional safety features, and we were proud to contribute to this vision.Beyond their functional significance, these doors were crafted with a bespoke touch to align seamlessly with the modern aesthetic of The Sienna Building. The incorporation of metal riser doors ensured compliance with safety standards while maintaining a sleek and contemporary appearance.In a commitment to design cohesion, our contribution extended to supplying tiled riser doors. These bespoke doors were specifically tailored to continue the flow of the wall, ensuring a harmonious and uninterrupted visual experience. The tiled riser doors not only served a functional purpose but also contributed to the overall aesthetic appeal, creating a polished and sophisticated look.

Designed by Shawn Hausman Design this hotel features a retro interior style which some may call kitschy or ‘hippie’ style. But there’s no doubt that this hotel is unlike any other, bursting at the seams with bright, vibrant colours and minimalist furniture and décor reflecting a somewhat 70’s glam style. While the interior might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the exterior is quite a sight to behold. With its brutalist-style architecture, it draws on the curved windows that cover the building as the main focus of the design. Originally built in 1974 as an office block and public library Orms were responsible for retaining this stark exterior. The hotel was heightened by a glass extension across the top of the building that holds a restaurant and club.Perhaps the coolest feature of the hotel, the red pill lift. A single external red pod, contrasting vividly with the plain white concrete frame, that transports its guests to all the 266 rooms and the rooftop bars.Selo provided simple, sleek riser doors that fit in perfectly with this modern look, and allow the eye to be drawn to the more important design features of the interior.

Victoria Chambers is nestled in the heart of Westminster, offering a taste of quintessential London Life within a wider neighbourhood of political and royal grandeur characterised by the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. This mainly pedestrianised cobbled street hosts a vibrant weekday market and is home to the newly revitalised Victoria Chambers – previously office suites, now refurbished and returned to their original residential purpose.Step inside and be amazed at the light that permeates through these revitalised spaces. Superb planning has maximised the living areas and ceilings have been enhanced to draw attention to their impressive heights. The feeling is contemporary chic, yet remains a sense of tradition with some fine period detailing. The interiors have been designed with the charm of the building’s street in mind, from making features of the loft like windows, to the chevron patterned tiling mimicking the cobbled street. The overall look and feel has great charisma, in keeping with its environment.Selo played a key part in this development as both Arriva and Enigma doors were installed. Arriva stands out as an exceptionally versatile doorset featuring an outward-opening action. When positioned in front of the concealed flush side, the door gracefully swings open towards you, adding to its user-friendly and adaptable design.Enigma Pocket Doors are recognised space savers and allow the occupiers to use the full footprint of the rooms where they are installed. A conventional door will need a radius of around three feet to open which means around 10 square foot of space needs to be kept free for the door to function. This is all space that could be used for something else.

The White City project consists of a 35 storey tower and two 19 storey towers. Two of the buildings are set within a lagoon water feature which cascades towards the lower landscaped gardens surrounding the site. The project is due for completion in 2022. White Cliff House, designed by RDMA, is built with steps and planter boxes arranged naturally as a hardscape stretched from the lowest to the highest point of the land. The height differences between facades emerged from the two roads attached. It was treated as the site power, which was brought up in the site planning as the major theme. Bringing in the outdoor qualities within the masses not only enriches the space experience inside but also enlarges the narrow width.On a sloppy narrow land measuring 6,5 x 25 meter, 3 programs were built within steps and planter boxes arranged naturally as a hardscape stretched from the lowest to the highest point of the land. They are 2 lofts serves as guest houses and a 2 storey house for the property owner at the top. The unfriendly 30 degree contour created more than 10 meter height differences between facades that emerged from the two roads attached at both ends of the stretch, and it was in-fact treated as the site power which brought up into the site planning as the major theme of how the building masses should perform and interact within each other. By applying terracing strategy, building masses were arranged in a way that each of the roof can also function as a balcony for the floor above. Every floor has their own private balcony.Selo provided the exceptional versatile doorset, Arriva. When positioned in front of the concealed flush side, the door gracefully swings open towards you, adding to its user-friendly and adaptable design.
