QIC E edge trims

Supplied in 3000mm lengths, extruded from architectural grade aluminium alloy to BS 1474. Pre-punched with diagonal fixing slots and holes in the plastering fin suitable for fixing by drywall screws. The standard finishes are either white polyester powder coating to RAL 9010, 20% Gloss, or unpainted for onsite painting/spraying. QIC cannot accept any responsibility for the painted finish of products supplied unpainted. Non-standard lengths, factory curving and alternative factory applied finishes are available to special order. Trims with a custom dimension between 3mm-100mm are available to special order.

Type GL trims with tape and joint edges are used to create a smooth clean detail
at the end of partitions, or as a specific feature detail. To allow for the increase
demand on Acoustics and varying plasterboard wall width GL trims come in a
range of sizes from 75mm to 132mm.

QIC Shadow gap perimeter trims mineral ceilings

Type SA trims are used to create a crisp shadowline perimeter detail where
mineral fibre, g.r.g, plasterboard or full module metal ceiling tile systems abut
walls, partitions or upstands. The horizontal web of the shadowgap can be
factory slotted to form an air vent if required. Curved trims manufactured from
composite sections to reproduce all type SA trims are available. Type SA trims
can also be factory formed into column rings.

metal ceiling tile systems abut walls, partitions or upstands. The channel feature is
designed to accept standard hold down wedges and clips to retain cut tiles. The
horizontal web of the shadowgap can be factory slotted to form an air vent if
required. Curved trims manufactured from composite sections to reproduce all

Type RD trims are used to create horizontal or vertical reveal details where there
are areas of dry lining, suspended ceilings, door frames, floor skirting, window
frames and many other architectural features. The products are designed for use
only with 15mm boards.
Subject to some bending limitations, type RD trims can be factory curved both
on plan and in section.
