Caribbean Blinds have been an external shading expert since 1987. based in Sudbury provide from outdoor living to solar shading, exclusively designing and UK manufacturing luxury external shading systems.Helmsman manufactured, delivered and installed 22 two compartment heavy-duty laminate with camlock locker door. The specification of the locker is 1800 high, 300 wide and 450 deep, powder coated in black and with a laminate door colour of ‘Fenix Nero’.‘Fenix Nero’ is an aesthetic style of laminate, which has low light reflectivity with a matt surface. Additionally, it has a soft touch as well as being anti-fingerprint colour.On the laminated lockers the clients decided to have an oval laminate number plate with a key, making it easy for staff to use as they will be allocated a locker and a key to keep their personal belongings secure.The bespoke lockers were designed and manufactured at Helmsman. Here at Helmsman, our team manufactured and installed 80 four-compartment laminate lockers for their employees. The specification of the laminate lockers was 1800mm high, 396mm wide, and 450mm deep and completed with a sloping top which is a way to prevent dust from being collected on top of the lockers as well as prevent items being placed on top of the lockers.

Melbourne Science Park is part of Bruntwood SciTech which covers 17 acres with nine buildings. Their aim is to contribute yearly towards the economy. Also, to help the regional science and tech sector to succeed in the future.Our team at Helmsman has manufactured and installed 57 three-compartment and 8 two-compartment laminate lockers. The laminate lockers were requested by the clients to be Wet Spec, which helps the material not to rust, peel, or crack under humidity. The measurements of the lockers were 1775mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. The bottom locker doors were wished to be dropped.The lockers' body was powder coated Jet Black, with the laminate door coated Neutral Medium Gray, provided by Fundermax. Our laminate lockers provide a modern, heavy-duty finish and are great to be used on a regular basis. The lockers were finished with oval laminate number plates above the nimbus digital combination in black made by Lowe & Fletcher. As part of the development at Riverside Sunderland, Brims Construction are carrying out the work at the former Gilbridge Police Station site. During the works, Helmsman were asked to supply some lockers. The client requested Heavy Duty lockers with a wood effect finish, alongside a bespoke vanity cupboard with vanity shelf. 

Isca Academy is Part of Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust to raise the aspirations and outcomes for their students enabling them to become fulfilled, and confident students. The school prides itself on being a true full school with students having a broad range of skills and ambitions on entry. Helmsman supplied and installed 205 four-compartment Laminate Metal Lockers. The specifications of the lockers were 1775mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. The school requested a mixture of sloping top and flat top. Sloping tops are a popular option for schools as they can prevent safety hazards as items can’t be stored on the top as well as accumulation of dust and dirt.It was requested to have a Laminate Metal Locker. The metal body of the lockers was coated in our standard shade of ‘Ice’. Whereas the Laminate doors were powder coated in Paradise blue, Yellow Crisp, Orange, and Hot Pepper. The specification of the lockers was 1775mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. When the lockers were being manufactured, the school requested that they have a sloping top. Sloping tops are a common choice for school lockers because they reduce the accumulation of dust and allow for storage without risking a safety hazard if something falls off.The laminate Metal locker was manufactured with the body to be metal and the doors to be laminate. The body of the lockers was coated in our standard colour of ‘Ice’. Whilst the doors were powder coated in Blue Iris, Blue Tiber, and Paradise Blue, which symbolised the colours of the school. The school prioritises making students under their care to know and feel that they are highly valued as human beings and are worthy of an outstanding education.Here at Helmsman, we have manufactured and installed 179 four-compartment laminate metal lockers. The specification of the lockers was 1775mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. The school requested for the lockers to have a sloping top when they were fabricated. For school lockers, sloping tops are a popular option as they prevent the increase of dust and prevent the top of the lockers from being used as storage which can create a safety hazard if any items fall off.The school requested for the body of the locker to be Metal, and the door was to be Laminate. The doors were coated in multiple colours between Paradise Blue, Yellow Crisp, Orange, Hot Pepper, and Stone Grey, and the body of the lockers was powder coated in our standard colour ‘Ice’. Helmsman won an exciting Leicestershire Police project for charging lockers with bespoke specifications. Leicestershire Police is the territorial Police force responsible for policing Leicestershire and Rutland areas in England.For this project, we had to balance two sets of needs. We needed to create an ideal storage solution for technological equipment and to deliver something stylish and space-saving. Our team recommended a few options, but being able to provide a bespoke powered solution was most important.Helmsman manufactured, supplied and delivered bespoke powered lockers to the headquarter office in Enderby for the frontline staff. Above all, these lockers serve the purpose of storing technological devices such as laptops and airwave radios. Security has been the key to this project. A request of 12 compartments per locker meant lockers could hold more items within the small space.Inside each compartment, there are 2 UK sockets with double USB portals on each side. Each locker compartment has a four-number combination lock for protection. Every locker has a ‘D’ door which can open all locker compartments with one master key, only accessible for supervisors who may need to reset locks for a single locker compartment. The ON/OFF switch is located at the top of each locker in the sloping top, saving electricity and keeping clear of clutter. Sizes are 1800mm high by 450mm wide and 500mm deep, been powder coated in standard colours of ‘ice’ and ‘royale’ for the doors. These doors have bespoke square perforations specifically requested by Leicestershire Police. In addition, they are easy to use and plug into a standard wall socket.Emergency service personnel in mind, Police lockers provide robust, practical storage solutions. We manufacture a variety of Police lockers for uniforms, kits and other equipment.

North City Operation Depot is a dedicated staff-only depot facility will comprise of an office and welfare building with briefing rooms, training rooms, office accommodation, a serviced canteen, locker rooms, shower facilities, laundry facilities and drying room. The depot is to provide high quality facilities to enable staff to operate more safely, efficiently, and essentially so the City Council meets its climate action targets, based in Ballymun, Dublin.The client requested for leisure lockers with rolled carcases which helps with keeping the lockers dust free, with the measurements to be 1450mm high, 450mm wide and 500mm deep with the colour mixed between Fundermax and Poleyrey. The colours are mixed with wood effect and beige laminate. Within the lockers they decided to have shelves and internal dividers, additionally, in changing rooms they requested shelves, mirrors and drying racks which are 600mm deep, 2450mm long and 2000mm high powder coated in ‘Ice’.Within the leisure lockers they decided to go with was KitLock KL1200 which can keep the staff belonging secure within the lockers. Our most recent project was in Romford, London. We worked alongside Vincent Stokes on their refurbishment of the changing area at Central Park Leisure Centre. The project included a variety of new furniture for the changing rooms, Helmsman supplied new lockers and bench seating.The client chose our Leisure Lockers, which are manufactured with an aluminium body and solid grade laminate doors. These lockers are specifically designed to withstand an environment subject to high moisture, humidity and chlorine, perfect for swimming pool changing rooms such as this project. The choice of lockers for Central Park Leisure centre were a mix of 1 and 2 compartment lockers.Helmsman’s leisure lockers come in a variety of colours and finishes, and with a variety of suppliers, there’s a huge range of colours to choose from. For this project, Vincent Stokes requested lockers in 3 colours, with Greenlam Laminate doors manufactured in Pearly White, 268 Dust and 297 Blue Galaxy. These colours work brilliantly together and match the rest of the design in the changing rooms perfectly. A popular choice of lock for a leisure centre changing rooms is a coin return lock. The locks used for this project were Ojmar coin return locks, with wrist straps, perfect for a swimming pool environment to keep the keys safe whilst the customer uses the facilities. We also produced bench seating for the project at Central Park Leisure Centre, with both wall to floor benching complete with hook boards, and wall island benching. These were manufactured with Greenlam laminate slats in colour 297 Blue Galaxy to match the lockers and the rest of the changing room design. It was great to work with Vincent Stokes on this project. Lee Valley Ice Centre originally opened in 1984, and before closing in 2021 welcomed over 279,000 visitors each year. With the old centre reaching the end of its operational life, it was time to design and build a brand new Ice Centre at Lee Valley Regional Park. The new centre, due to open in April 2023 will be home to 2 new ice rinks, doubling the capacity of the old centre, and inviting in new visitors as well as welcoming back those who visited before.As part of the redevelopment of Lee Valley Ice Centre, 95% of the concrete from the old centre was used in the foundations of the new centre. With this and many other environmentally friendly choices made in the construction, Lee Valley Ice Centre will become the UK’s most sustainable Ice Centre.The fully accessible centre will maximise the opportunity for sports for everyone, and with two Olympic-sized Ice Rinks, a brand-new café, gym, exercise studios and various other facilities, Lee Valley will be able to welcome up to 500,000 visitors. The range of facilities will encourage a variety of new visitors, from committed skaters, though to people stopping for a drink in the café before enjoying the green space in Lee Valley Regional Park.At Helmsman, we were pleased to be contacted by the main contractors for Lee Valley, The Buckingham Group, to supply the lockers, cubicles, vanity units and bespoke high-level cladding. We manufactured and installed 268 Bespoke Heavy Duty Laminate Lockers, with a variety of compartment configurations, and a range of different locking options.Our Heavy Duty Laminate lockers are a great option for high traffic areas, as they are more likely to withstand scratches and dents, so were a perfect choice for Lee Valley Ice Centre. The lockers also feature bespoke perforations in the doors and aluminium number plates. A selection of the lockers also have seat stands with the slats in matching laminate. A variety of locks were also used across the lockers in this project, with Ojmar Hasp locks the main choice for users to use their own padlocks, as well as Ojmar coin return locks and Lowe and Fletcher cam locks.The cubicles chosen for this project were our Front Line Cubicles with Hidden Fixings. These cubicles are tailored to suit the needs of the particular project, with bespoke sizing available. The fixings are hidden to provide a smooth surface and aesthetic finish. The cubicles were manufactured with 12mm Solid Grade Laminate from BioCarbon Laminates in colour Luna Grey, a fantastic carbon-neutral option which aligns perfectly with Lee Valley’s aim to be the first sustainable Ice Centre in the UK.As we manufacture all our products in house, and to order, we specialise in bespoke items. The project at Lee Valley Ice Centre featured bespoke high-level cladding, which our highly experienced installation team fitted on-site.Other products on this project included metal framed IPS panels, using both Luna Grey and Elegant Grey laminates from BioCarbon Laminates, and Helmsman High Pressure Laminate Vanity Units.It was great to work alongside Buckingham Group again for the Lee Valley Ice Centre project. Helmsman’s most recent project was for a company we have enjoyed working with in the past. McCormick are a global leader in flavour, with Schwartz, Franks RedHot and French’s just a selection of their well known brands. Back in 2021, we manufactured and installed a variety of lockers in their new Cambridge facilities, from garment collectors, garment dispensers through to office and visitor lockers.This year we had the pleasure of working with McCormick again for their UK HQ in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. The client requested lockers for their staff members and so Helmsman supplied and installed 164 mild steel, 1 compartment lockers with sloping tops and stands. The colour scheme was kept bright but professional, with a selection of colours including standard “Ice” coloured body with blue, red and yellow doors.Helmsman’s Essential Metal Lockers are manufactured from mild steel, and powder coated in our factory with our new paint booth. There are a variety of colour options, with those chosen by McCormick being Royale (blue), Cherry (red) and Yellow. The lockers were finished with Lowe and Fletcher Camlocks, a simple, secure and easy to use option, perfect for the lockers required.In addition to the lockers, Helmsman also supplied bench seating for McCormick’s Haddenham HQ. We produced 10 double sided benches, with coat hooks and Ash Hardwood seating slats.The lockers and benches really do look fantastic at McCormick’s Haddenham HQ. It was great to work with McCormick again and we hope to help them with any locker, cubicle or bench seating requirements they have in the future.

McCormick specified that they needed staff, office and visitor lockers and Helmsman supplied. We site surveyed the facility before manufacturing of lockers started to make the most use of the space.We installed five compartment and eight compartment garment dispensers and several garment collectors for the staff changing room on the lower floor. These metal lockers were powder-coated in ‘Smoke’ and ‘Forest Green’ RAL colours to separate the areas. The two and four compartment essential metal lockers made their way to the back end of the changing room in ‘Smoke’ and ‘Royale Blue’ specifically for visitors. The two and five compartment laminate lockers in Abet ‘Ice White’ decorated the upstairs offices. These lockers needed to match the modern style of the office, with the idea to try and blend the lockers into the white walls. All lockers came with either cam locks or hasp & staple locks for extra security.

Our Team at Helmsman manufactured and installed new lockers replacing the old ones at Weald of Kent Grammar.  Weald of Kent Grammar is a secondary school that has a strong focus on academic achievement and selects pupils based on their ability.The school requested metal lockers, with 3 compartments and 1 compartment with metal sloping tops. Metal lockers are a beneficial option for schools, as they can come in a range of compartments, colours, and sizes. The school requested sloping tops that prevent people from using the top of the lockers as a storage area, which can create a safety hazard if items fall or if students climb on top of the lockers.Our team manufactured 98 one-compartment lockers with the size of lockers 665mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. Also, three compartment that is 1775mm high, 300 wide, and 450 deep. The colour of the lockers was requested to be ‘Ultramarine Blue’ with body colour to be ‘Ice’. With sloping tops to be 'elegant grey' and extended by 80mm. Northern Rail has returned to Helmsman multiple times for Lockers and Bench Seating for different railway services up north. For this project, the Helmsman team manufactured and installed 185 two-compartment Metal Z Lockers to accommodate 370 people.Z Lockers are the perfect locker design for maximising internal space as they have a small footprint while offering excellent space minimization. As one of the UK’s leading locker manufacturers, we also provide the project with Bespoke Z Locker designs as they were requested to be 2000mm high, 450mm wide, and 500mm deep with a perforated base. A perforated base is an excellent addition as it allows air to flow throughout the lockers.The body of the metal Z lockers were powder coated in the colour ‘Ice’, while the doors were powder coated in ‘Smoke’. The lockers were numbered with Helmsman laminated number plates and finished with Camlocks, which is our standard lock, however a fantastic choice, as they are reliable and durable ensuring users that personal belongings are safe as well as being affordable.

Helmsman’s latest project was an exciting one for the team. We were contacted by Bowmer & Kirkland who we have worked with many times in the past, to create a bespoke set of outdoor lockers for a project in Enfield.Bowmer & Kirkland are the lead contractor for The Chase Farm Development, which when complete, will be home to two new schools, One Degree Academy and Wren Academy, with a Community Hub and Sports Centre, plus 362 New Homes. With a range of outdoor space, the client had requested lockers to be installed along two external walls of the building. Whilst our Wet Spec Laminate Lockers are great for humid and wet environments such as leisure centre changing rooms, it was important that we considered the different impact that outdoor lockers would need to withstand.We designed, manufactured, and installed 158 bespoke, 4 compartment outdoor lockers at Wren Community Hub. The body was made with Stainless Steel, with doors and end panels in Solid Grade Laminate. A selection of colours were used, with Formica Laminate in Peaceful Blue, Lime and Dusty Jade for the doors, and Polar White for the end panels.The client also requested Sloping Tops for the lockers. These are a great addition to stop clutter and other objects being placed on top of the lockers, particularly helpful for lockers in public spaces as this project is. The sloping tops were made from stainless steel with Solid Grade Laminate over the top in Polar White to match the end panels.For the locks and numbering, the client chose oval laminated number plates with Lowe and Fletcher Camlocks, which make a great pairing.It was great to work on this bespoke locker project and highlights that Helmsman can help with a variety of requests and requirements for locker projects. Our Glass Lockers with a mixture of three and six compartments filled the changing rooms in Ponteland High School, suitable for both wet and dry envirnoment. Main colours white and blue were used for the locker glass doors, and ABET Laminate colour infills in Spring White and California Blue. The colours and material give a mature feel in the changing rooms in both fitness and leisure areas. Ojmar OTS Basic locks are user friendly and were used for safety and ease. Overall the Ponteland project speaks for it self as it is aesthetically pleasing and provide high quality storage solution.

Helmsman manufactured and installed a range of leisure lockers, cubicles, vanity units and IPS at the Rainham Leisure centre.

We provided a bespoke locker where each employee can operate a unit of 4 compartments with one key giving them access to a twin locker for storing their clothing on one side and collecting clean workwear from the other side. Two further locker compartments above this provide storage for footwear and lunch boxes. The sloping tops keep the room clutter free and reflect the light around the room. At each end the design includes lockers for crash helmets; these bespoke lockers match the colour scheme and merge with the others to provide a unique managed system.

Riverside Leisure Centre in Exeter is run by Exeter Leisure and boasts a Gym, Swimming Pool, Health Suite, Sports Hall, Squash Courts and more. Following Helmsman’s work with Exeter City Council on the changing rooms at St Sidwell’s Point Leisure Centre, we were asked to return to Exeter for some repair work at the Riverside Leisure Centre.Whilst Helmsman had not fitted the original lockers and locks, our service department are equipped to help with repairs and replacements for lockers and other products provided and/or fitted by other manufacturers. The Riverside Leisure Centre lockers had a number of faulty digital locks, and so we recommended a new lock that would stand the test of time.Our team removed 290 doors and re-drilled to fix the new Ojmar OTS Advanced RFID locks. The existing doors with new locks were then re-fixed to the lockers. The new locks allow users to open or close lockers by simply pressing a proximity media: card, bracelet or Wellness® key against the doorknob. With a high battery life and vandal proof design, this lock is the perfect choice for a leisure centre changing rooms.It was great to be invited back by Exeter City Council and highlights the high quality of work Helmsman provided at St Sidwell’s Point. GCB (Guan Chong Berhad) Cocoa UK Limited is a new chocolate factory that opened in Glemsford in 2023. GCB Cocoa was established in Asia when it started trading cocoa beans in the 1980s. The new chocolate factory produces liquid and solid chocolates. The site of the factory is 17-acre which will include new access, car parking, manufacturing facilities, warehousing, and biomass container to supply renewable energy for the manufacturing procedure.Our team Helmsman manufactured, delivered, and installed 14 bespoke cubicles as the clients requested floor-to-ceiling ‘Inline’ changing cubicles, with the measurements to be 2817mm high, 950 wide, and with the door opening at 1950mm. Additionally, they have 14 benches within the changing cubicles that are 900mm wide and 300mm depth.The Inline cubicles were requested to be 'Designer White', which we were supplied by Greenlam. 'Designer White' is a simple colour that stands out. The Cubicle head rail and channel were powder coated in White Aluminium to outline the cubicles.Inside the cubicles, the benches are plasticated in silver grey with slats in 'Arctic White'. The Service Department at Helmsman have been hard at work at Felixstowe Leisure Centre. The changing rooms at Felixstowe Leisure Centre were kitted out with Helmsman’s lockers many years ago, and whilst the existing lockers and cubicles had lasted a long time, they were tired and generally needed refreshing.The locker bodies were still great quality, so we manufactured and installed new doors, with new locks and numbering, and supplied wrist straps for the keys. The lockers were a fairly old design, that we don’t often have requested anymore, however as we provide the full package at Helmsman, we can manufacture most bespoke options, including replacements for lockers from other manufacturers. See our Riverside Leisure Centre Case Study for example.Our team manufactured brand new laminate locker doors with matching cubicle doors and facias for this service project. We used BioCarbon’s Carbon Neutral laminate in colour “Graphite” and Abet Laminate in colour “Yellow Pop” to refresh the changing rooms with a splash of colour, completely transforming the area from the white and blue theme that existed before. The locker doors are complete with brand new numbering and Lowe and Fletcher cam locks with wrist straps for the keys. These wrist straps are a great addition for lockers in leisure centres, providing the flexibility for users to wear their key whilst they use the facilities.It was interesting for the team to work with an older design of Helmsman locker, and with the refresh of the lockers and cubicles, the changing rooms at Felixstowe Leisure Centre look brand new again. Our team at Helmsman manufactured and installed 30 two-compartment solid-grade laminate lockers at Doug Philips Ltd. The specification of the lockers was 1800mm high, 300mm wide, and 450mm deep. The clients requested for the two-compartment lockers to be manufactured with an internal shelf and angled shoe tray within the lockers. Additionally, all the lockers had a perforated base which allows airflow into and out of the lockers.The body of the lockers was powder coated in ‘Black’ which is from our standard colours, whereas the laminate doors are in colour ‘Artic White’ by BioCarbon Laminate, which is a beautiful colour providing an aesthetic and organised area. The laminate lockers were completed with vinyl numbering as well as Lowe & Fletchers Nimbus combination lock in Black.

Our team at Helmsman had the pleasure of manufacturing and installing a variety of staff lockers and bench seating. Helmsman team manufactured 60 one-compartment metal lockers with sloping tops and 4 of fifteen-compartment garment dispensers. All the staff lockers are manufactured with a sloping top, which is a great addition as it reduces the pose of hazards if items are stored and prevents the growth of dust and dirt on top of the lockers.The specification of the metal locker was 1800mm high, 380mm wide and 450mm deep, however, the sloping top adds 150mm to the height. The staff lockers were all powder coated from Helmsman standard colour charts. The carcass of the metal lockers and the garment dispenser was powder-coated in ‘Ice’, whereas the doors were powder-coated in ‘Skye’ which creates an uplifting mood for the staff with the brightness of the colour.The lockers were completed with a vedette laminated number plate as well as a Helmsman locking system of cam locks, which is a great secure lock, assuring the employees that their personal belongings are safe whilst being at work.Additionally, with this order, clients also requested bench seats in a wet spec, which is suitable for an environment that has high humidity. The specification of the bench seats was 450mm high, 3250mm long and 350mm wide. Staybridge Suite is located close to the main entrances to Terminals 1,2&3 of Heathrow Airport and now home to Helmsman Lockers. Our client chose bespoke Helmsman Heavy Duty Two Door Lockers with combination locks and engraved numbers and rovere fumo laminate doors and side panels. We are proud to have been a part of the renovation and expansion works at the 18-hole championship Suffolk Golf Club for the past 12 months. We worked seamlessly with our client on this project to avoid disruption to the client base and to get the job completed as quickly as possible. The project included a range of our products, vanity units and IPS panels, front line cubicles for toilets and showers, leisure lockers, bench seating and coat hook bars, and we finished the overall look with a boxed-in pipework bespoke bench seat. 

It has been five years since the redevelopment and renovation of the female and male shower and changing rooms in the health hub at All Saints Hotel, Golf and Spa.This modern hotel has something for everyone, set in the countryside, it is a peaceful vacation spot close by to beautiful villages, towns and cities. We had a nice revisit at the golf club and installed some more leisure lockers.All Saints hotel has been expanding ever since, and we’ve been asked to come back to manufacture and install additional lockers for the health hub changing areas. Helmsman supplied two-compartment leisure lockers. These lockers have specifically been made to provide secure storage for spa users in a wet environment. These two-compartment leisure lockers differ in colour and have engraved numbering and ‘SPA’ to differentiate between the gym lockers and spa lockers to benefit customers.Five years on, Helmsman lockers and cubicles installed back in 2016 are in good condition considering the high usage from All Saints customers. The Pyramids Centre in Portsmouth has had a new lease of life with a £2.5m makeover. The ageing facility is now a modern leisure complex offering a fun attraction to the local families. The new facilities include a state-of-the-art gym, trampoline, and soft play park.Helmsman was sub-contracted to supply the lockers and cubicles package providing a turnkey solution to create a modern and sharp changing room area with a comfortable feel.For the Pyramids Centre leisure project we manufactured, delivered, and installed modern laminate lockers of 3 and 5 doors. They are heavy duty and suitable for a wet environment. A row of three-compartment lockers have an integrated cantilever seat stand matching the Abet Walnut (616) laminate lockers and cubicles. The integrated seat stand on these lockers is a great space-saving solution and is perfect for this area.The front line cubicle range fitted the requirements for the toilet and shower cubicles, installed alongside the lockers. The Walnut laminate runs throughout these changing rooms as one of the dominant colours. The cubicle partitions are in Abet Light Grey (478) to separate each cubicle and bring light into the space to complement the rest of the interior.The vanity units and timber integrated plumbing system (IPS) panels are also manufactured from the matching laminate. The IPS in the toilet cubicles are the same colour as the partitions, giving a natural flow throughout. The wall to floor benches and free-standing benches are in Walnut laminate colour as laminate slats are perfect and protected in the wet areas.Most importantly Helmsman has a dedicated and experienced in-house design team supported by its on-site factory. The Warwick School is undergoing a major transformation. It has a brand new school building, and as of September 2021, it will have a brand new logo, uniform and name, Carrington School. Kerry, the headteacher, talks about the old buildings in Surrey Live, “they were dilapidated. They were dark, small, in some places the heating didn’t work properly. They had just run out of steam, and over the years of thousands of students going through them, they needed some care and attention.” The new teaching block is made up of 22 classrooms, a dining space, a social area for students to relax in and a sports hall. This makeover and expansion have helped the school to increase its GCSE range.The new name derives from Richard Carrington, an astronomer who built Redhill Observatory in 1852. It was there that he carried out pioneering investigations on solar flares and devised a system for numbering complete rotations of the sun, still in use today. Some of the secondary school students live in Redhill streets which carry his name.Helmsman is extremely happy to have manufactured, supplied and installed laminate school lockers. These are in the new building over two floors. The four-compartment lockers have provided storage for 157 students. These laminate school lockers have sloping tops and end panels to keep the lockers secure from vandalism and to keep them clean. During the install, these lockers were bolted together side by side and to the walls for safety purposes. We used Abet Laminati for the doors. The school chose beautiful colours of aubergine, tones of grey and others colours to make these lockers stand out and to match the modern feel around the building.Installation of standard school lockers of 1775 height by 300 widths and 450 depths with the standard swivel locks decorate the new building. Swivel locks have two functions: Locking with a padlock, and it can also be used as a handle to open/close the locker. Each compartment has an oval laminated number plate. Helmsman two compartment heavy-duty lockers were supplied, delivered and installed by Helmsman professionals in Trowse Primary School corridors. Bespoke specification of 1600mm height and a range of different door colours were chosen to brighten up this primary school. Each compartment door was fitted with an oval laminated number plate, from 1 to 60 twice. Blue and grey themed lockers were fitted on the first floor, while green and grey themed lockers were fitted on the second floor to split the floors. Diamond swivel locks were fitted on the lockers for an easy use and the pleasing aesthetics.

Meadows Business Park is undergoing a major repositioning, providing modern working for a post covid-19 world. With 3 refurbished buildings positioned in landscaped grounds, providing workspaces, offices, central café, gym, cycle storage and showers. Located next to Blackwater Railway station, tenants of Meadows Business Park can enjoy pop up shops, street food markets, walks around the 100 acre shepherds meadow and even Peloton bikes, as well as a range of classes in the gym.As part of the refurbishment of these buildings, we worked alongside OD Interiors to manufacture and install the lockers and bench seating for the cycle storage and shower areas. As part of the project, we provided 22 wet specification Laminate Z Lockers for the male changing rooms, 22 wet specification Laminate Z Lockers for the female changing rooms and bench seating for both changing areas and the cycle storeroom.The stunning Laminate Z Lockers were manufactured with an aluminium body, stainless steel door frame and Abet Laminate doors. The colours chosen were Mountain Oak and Ice White from Abet’s range of laminate colours. We work with a variety of suppliers of laminate, allowing us to offer a large selection of colours and finishes, from carbon-neutral options, wood effect styles, through to bright pops of colour.In each changing room, 13 of the 22 Z Lockers were fitted with seat stands, with the remaining 9 lockers fitted to stands. The frames for the stands and seat stands are powder coated in RAL colour white, with the seat slats in Mountain Oak laminate to match the locker doors. To keep the project slick and uniform, the end panels, infills and the cladding to hide the stands are in the Ice White laminate, also matching the doors.The locks chosen for the project were the Digilock Versa Keypad locks. These are a great choice for both assigned, or shared use, and so were perfect for the shared changing rooms at Meadow Business Centre.
