It will cover how to specify bespoke windows and doors that make a statement – that are either clever and beautiful enough to attract comment, or elegant yet modern enough to blend seamlessly with a historic façade. Using the innovative glass box restaurant atop the Triennale Milano in Italy as a case study, this presentation describes how architect and contractor can work together to create a truly outstanding design. Unusual features include a 400sqm unfurling sail solar shading system, large lift-and-slide doors and two unique upright sliding doors. By the end of this CPD delegates will: Recognise when a bespoke solution might be the better option.
