Ancon 25/14 Restraint System

Ancon 25/14 Restraint System

Leviat

The Ancon 25/14 Restraint System ties an outer leaf of brickwork to a light steel frame. Self-drilling, high-thread screws fix through the channel and rigid insulation board and into the steel. Stainless steel SD25 or basalt fibre Teplo-BF-CT 25 wall ties are located in the channel and built into the bed joints of the outer leaf of brickwork. This system has been independently tested by Lucideon and is UKCA and CE marked. A Declaration of Performance is available to download from www.ancon.co.uk/approvals.

Ancon KSN Anchor Reinforcement Continuity Systems

Ancon KSN Anchor Reinforcement Continuity Systems

Leviat

The KSN system comprises of internally-threaded anchors which are cast into the wall and, during construction of the adjoining slab, accept continuation bars prepared with a Bartec parallel-thread. This is fastest and safest system. There is no on site bar straightening and virtually no restriction on bar length, so EC2 lap lengths are easily accommodated. A standard timber carrier allows multiple anchors to be installed simultaneously. Unlike re-bend systems where bar length, spacing and diameter are restricted by physical box dimensions, KSN Anchors provide total design flexibility.

Ancon Low Thermal Conductivity Wall Ties

Ancon Low Thermal Conductivity Wall Ties

Leviat

The Ancon range of low thermal conductivity wall ties minimise heat loss through thermal bridging, improving the energy efficiency of a masonry cavity wall. The use of these ties can reduce insulation depth and wall footprint. In addition to a number of stainless steel wire wall ties, the range includes the Ancon Teplo range which is manufactured from pultruded basalt fibres set in resin. This BBA-approved product is available exclusively from Leviat. It has a thermal conductivity of just 0.7W/mK, making it the most thermally efficient wall tie on the market.

Ancon Staifix Complete Guide to Wall Ties and Restraint Fixings

Leviat

Wall ties are an important element in the stability of cavity walls. The correct selection, spacing and installation of ties is essential to avoid damp penetration and the distortion or cracking of brickwork. Leviat can advise on the correct fixing to suit your project and provide details of your nearest stockist.

Ancon Thermal Breaks

Ancon Thermal Breaks

Leviat

Masonry support systems from Leviat can now be supplied with Thermal Breaks to minimise heat loss through cold bridging and improve the energy efficiency of the building envelope. Ancon Thermal Breaks are manufactured from a durable fibre-reinforced thermoset plastic which combines low thermal conductivity with high compressive strength. They are shaped like a standard Ancon key-hole shim in order to locate quickly and easily, between bracket and structural frame, as a support system is installed.

Channel and Bolt Fixings

Channel and Bolt Fixings

Leviat

There are various methods of fixing stainless steel masonry supports, restraints and windposts to either concrete or steel frames. The selection of the most appropriate method will depend on many factors including fixing centres, edge distances, type of fixture, loading and the site adjustment required.

Design of Shear Connections using KSN Anchor Box

Leviat

Ancons internally threaded KSN Anchors, supplied in a metal casing and used in combination with Bartec Plus parallel-threaded reinforcing bars, can now be detailed in a single row along the slab section centreline. The innovative KSN Anchor Box provides a cost-effective design solution that minimises rebar congestion in both the slab and the wall, simplifies bar scheduling and is quick and easy to install with no requirement for manual bar straightening on site.

Eazistrip Reinforcement Continuity Systems

Eazistrip Reinforcement Continuity Systems

Leviat

The Eazistrip Reinforcement Continuity System is a quick and easy to install method of maintaining continuity of reinforcement at construction joints in concrete. It consists of a galvanised steel casing with a dimpled surface to provide an effective concrete bond. Pre-bent bars are housed within the casing and are enclosed by a protective cover. Each end of the unit is sealed with a polystyrene block in order to prevent the ingress of concrete.

Halfen HIT Insulated Balcony Connector System

Halfen HIT Insulated Balcony Connector System

Leviat

Halfen HIT is a high performance structural connection system which can now be used to join post tensioned concrete balconies to a post tensioned concrete slab. The system is suitable for use with all types of proprietary bonded and unbonded post tensioning systems currently available on the market. The Halfen HIT Post Tensioned Balcony Connector system, which incorporates our established Halfen HIT Structural Thermal Break, allows balconies to be cast together with the main slab and then simultaneously tensioned. Formwork installation and removal on balconies and the main slab can therefore take place at the same time, driving significant efficiencies on construction sites and enabling a faster, more efficient build programme.

Helical Nails for Warm Roof Construction

Helical Nails for Warm Roof Construction

Leviat

Helical nails from Ancon Building Products are quick and reliable fixings for use in warm roof applications. Unlike traditional nails, they rotate as they are driven in, inducing a self-tapping action and consequently do not split timbers or compress the layer of insulation. Ancon supplies fixing solutions for both pitched and flat roofs.

Lockable Dowels for Temporary Movement Joints

Lockable Dowels for Temporary Movement Joints

Leviat

Lockable Dowels have been designed by Ancon for use at temporary movement joints, most commonly found in post-tensioned concrete frames. These dowels allow initial shrinkage of the concrete to take place and are then locked in position with a mechanical plate and a controlled amount of epoxy resin. The locked dowels continue to transfer shear, but prevent further movement taking place.

Masonry Reinforcement and Windposts

Masonry Reinforcement and Windposts

Leviat

Large panels of masonry or panels with openings can often be difficult to justify structurally. The traditional solutions have been to either increase the thickness of the wall or introduce an additional masonry pier. Ancon AMR Bed Joint Reinforcement and Ancon Windposts are designed to provide additional lateral support for panels of masonry. Windposts can be installed into either the inner leaf of blockwork or into the cavity leaving the blockwork undisturbed. Ancon AMR is a fabricated and flattened stainless steel or carbon steel reinforcement which locates in the bed joint to strengthen a wall. Parapet Posts are used as vertical support for brickwork in parapet panels.

Non-Drill Fixings

Non-Drill Fixings

Leviat

Ancon’s range of ‘NON-DRILL’ masonry-to-steel fixing solutions was developed to address the safety concerns of the Industry. Driven by customer demand for masonry restraint fixings with an alternate installation method from either shot-firing or drilling, Ancon engineered the six innovative solutions detailed in this brochure. These new fixings do not require the use of power tools and can reduce installation times and costs. In all instances they simply abut the column or attach to the flange to restrain the wall against lateral wind loads.
