Adfil Construction Fibres

Fibrin XT was incorporated into the solution to improve plastic shrinkage cracking resistance and enhance durability and frost protection. 

Due to the high volume of HGV traffic that would be using the external slab, Durus EasyFinish and Fibrin XT were used to improve the slab's durability and reduce construction time.

With thousands of vehicle movements per day on the port roads, the original black paving system became unstable. Durus EasyFinishand Fibrin XT was used as it allowed speed of construction of the new road along with a more durable surface.

Polypropylene fibres are not susceptible to seawater corrosion. Large sections of concrete such as this fibres will prevent thermal cracking. Durus Macro fibres in the concrete on this project gave the concrete the benefit of double the impact resistance & 60% better abrasion.

This project saw multiple tram track improvements and extensions throughout the west midlands area. The use of fibre-reinforced concrete overcame many engineering challenges.

The site is a multi-product compost manufacturing facility which would be susceptible to leachates and chemicals coming from the blended biodegradable materials. The environment is highly corrosive and has continual heavy plant movement, so the surface is prone to wear. Durus EasyFinish was used to improve the slab's durability and non-corrosive properties.
