Kestrel Aluminium Systems Commercial doors and framing are a range of low rise entrances and doors, designed to industry standards.
The system is based on a common box section size of 100 x 45 mm for both double and single glazed options, with a two screw port feature for inherent strength. Construction consists of main vertical members with horizontal transoms spanning between. Framing profiles are square cut and assembled by driving screws into extruded receptacles in the corresponding section. All loads are transmitted to a supporting structure via purpose designed fixings and fixing details. The framing is not self supporting. Weatherstripping is woven pile, polypropylene backed, premier density.
Door sections are square cut and assembled with extruded engineered cleats and M10 tie rods for additional strength and robustness.
Infills of glass are glazed by shuffle glazing the infill into jamb glazing pockets. Cill and head beads snap-in internally or externally depending on the application to give a flush appearance. All vertical door beads are mechanically fixed externally for security.
