Description

Stravifloor Channel improves the structural stability of the floating floor and provides lower differential deflection resulting from live load or concentrated loads. It also allows for larger isolation pad spacing, which reduces material and installation costs, and increases acoustic performance through the optimization of pad loading and fewer contact points (transmission paths) to the subfloor.

Stravifloor Channel is a suitable choice to maximize noise insulation when an existing structure cannot support a heavyweight floating concrete slab.

Features and benefits:

  • Stravifloor Channel is available with four standard grades of resilient pads: Pad-M (medium stiffness), Pad-H (high stiffness) and Pad-X (extra high stiffness).
  • Standard resilient pad thicknesses are 30 mm and 50 mm (other thicknesses are available upon request).
  • In particular cases Stravifloor Channel is also available with springs as resilient support.
  • Stravifloor Channel can support a variety of formwork such as plywood, Oriented Strand Board (OSB) or cement bonded particle board (CBPB).
  • Stravifloor Channel steel components are electro-galvanized.
  • The standard range of resilient pads is available to provide load-bearing capacities from 0.1 to 3 MPa per pad.
  • Stravifloor Channel floor systems use elastomeric isolators with low stiffness/high resilience allowing natural frequencies as low as 6 Hz or springs allowing natural frequencies as low as 2.5 Hz.
  • The system is fast and easy installation, making it a very cost-efficient solution.
  • This system allows building services to be installed within the air void.
  • Light, strong, stable and robust.
  • Eliminate the risk of creaking or sagging of the floor, an effect that often occurs with girders made of natural materials such as wood as they get humid, dry up and expand/shrink.
  • CDM Stravitec pads, used as discrete resilient support of Stravifloor Channel, are durable and extremely low creep rate.

Requirements
The structural floor should comply with the required tolerances regarding the gradient (0.1% or 1 mm/m) and smoothness (max. 2 mm) prior to installation of the CDM Stravitec floating floor. The subfloor should be dry and clean of any debris (dust, dirt, grease, foreign objects) prior to installation.
